Hug-A-Lumps Plush Medium – Weighted Plush – Series 14903 – ZURU
A big hug can make a big difference! The Hug-A-Lumps Medium Plush by ZURU is a super-soft, weighted cuddle companion designed to provide a comforting, calming feeling when hugged. Weighing approximately 1.5 kg, this larger Hug-A-Lumps plush has a reassuring weight that makes it satisfying to hold, cuddle and carry.
The combination of soft plush and gentle weight makes Hug-A-Lumps a popular choice for children and adults looking for a comforting sensory experience. A weighted plush can be useful as part of a calming routine, relaxation time or bedtime routine, while the familiar pressure of a cuddle can provide a reassuring feeling during moments of stress or anxiety. ZURU specifically describes Hug-A-Lumps as providing calm and comfort and helping with stress and anxiety.
A Comforting Sensory Companion
Hug-A-Lumps can also be considered as a sensory plush for occupational therapy environments, sensory spaces or home sensory routines. The weight and soft texture provide tactile and proprioceptive input that some children may find comforting. If being used as part of an occupational therapy programme, it is best to follow the individual recommendations of the child's occupational therapist or other qualified professional.
For children who experience anxiety, difficulty settling or simply enjoy the reassuring feeling of being hugged, the Hug-A-Lumps can become a familiar comfort companion for quiet time, relaxation and bedtime.

For Anxiety & Stress: The weighted design can provide a reassuring, calming sensation during moments of stress or anxiety. It should be viewed as a comfort aid rather than a treatment for anxiety or any medical condition.
For Sleep & Bedtime: Its soft texture and substantial weight make it a lovely companion for winding down, relaxing and establishing a comforting bedtime routine. It is not a medical sleep aid.
For Occupational Therapy & Sensory Use: The weighted plush can be incorporated into sensory activities or calming routines where appropriate. For children receiving occupational therapy, use should be guided by their occupational therapist, particularly when considering weighted products.
Age Recommendation: 3 years and older. Contains weighted filling and is not suitable for children under 3 years. Always supervise young children and inspect the plush regularly for damage.
